WALTHAM CROSS BAPTIST CHURCH
WHO WE ARE
As members of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, our church aligns with the Union's Declaration of Principle, which includes belief in the authority of the Bible, the triune nature of God, the sinful state of humanity, the redemptive work of Christ, believer's baptism by immersion, and the work of the Holy Spirit in guiding and empowering believers to share God's love.
In summary, we believe in the importance of Scripture, the Trinity, the need for salvation, the role of baptism and the Lord's supper, and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit in fulfilling our mission to make disciples through sharing Christ's love.

Declaration of Principle, The Basis of the Baptist Union is:
1. That our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, is the sole and absolute authority in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and that each Church has liberty, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to interpret and administer His laws.
2. That Christian Baptism is the immersion in water into the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, of those who have professed repentance towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ who ‘died for our sins according to the Scriptures; was buried, and rose again the third day’.
3. That it is the duty of every disciple to bear personal witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to take part in the evangelisation of the world.
It is rooted in Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) with its threefold pattern of authority, baptism and mission.

Join Us For Worship
Sundays are a special day for our diverse church community, beginning with our 11:00 am service centred around the teachings of the Bible.
We come together to sing, listen to messages from God's word, and unite in prayer. Our services encompass a mix of traditional and contemporary styles, aiming to inspire and offer worship to our heavenly Father.
Following the service, we invite you to linger and enjoy some warm hospitality with us. We'll be serving a delightful spread of tea, coffee, biscuits, croissants and even the occasional sweet treat baked by our Pastor. Take this opportunity to mingle with our community and get to know us better. we're eager to build connections and stay in touch with you!
"Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them."
