WALTHAM CROSS BAPTIST CHURCH GUIDELINES FOR THE HIRING OF PREMISES
Bookings

All bookings must be made in advance through the church administrator or secretary.

Private one-off bookings by church members can be approved by the administrator/secretary

The Trustees must approve all bookings & requests from outside organisations/individuals.
Payments
-
Regular charges for hall/conference room rental are £20 per hour.

Regular charges for sanctuary rental are £40 per hour.

Charges include heating & use of the kitchen.

A damage refundable deposit of £50 will be required for external one-off bookings. This will be held against the cost of repairing, cleaning, or replacing any damage or loss caused to the building or equipment.

Members/attendees receive a 50% discount on rental fees for private events.

An additional charge of £50 applies if the use of the PA or multi-media projector is required.
Responsible Person

For regular bookings, the designated key holder is responsible for opening up, familiarising themselves with the layout/procedures, and ensuring the premises are clean, tidy, and secured after use.

For one-off outside bookings a church key holder will be responsible for opening and locking up and explaining layout/procedure etc. but the hirer will be responsible for cleaning and leaving the site tidy.

For members/attendees hiring for a private function a church key holder will be responsible for opening and locking up but the members/attendees will be responsible for leaving the premises clean and tidy.
Kitchen

Kitchen access is included in the hire fee, hirers must supply their own equipment, crockery, consumables, and rubbish bags and leave the kitchen clean and tidy at the end of the hire period.

All rubbish should be placed in black bags and taken to the front of the church building and placed by the side gate.
Restrictions

The premises should normally be vacated by 10:30 pm.

The premises may be used after 10:30 pm, only by members/attendees of WCBC, a church key holder will be responsible for opening and locking up, but the members/attendees will be responsible for leaving the premises clean and tidy.

No smoking or drugs are allowed on the premises or surrounding grounds.

The event organiser/sponsor will be responsible for ensuring that no person under 18 years of age consumes alcohol on any part of the premises.

Alcoholic drinks must only be consumed within the designated room booked for the event.

Any drinks containers brought onto the premises by or at the request of the event organiser will be removed from the premises and all church premises at the end of the event.

The Sanctuary/Hall/Conference room is not to be used for personal or business use without booking.

No outside cooking on the premises for personal or business use without prior arrangement with the church.
